そぞろ【漫ろ】

1 〔そわそわして落着かないようす〕 distraction; restlessness; nervousness.

●気もそぞろ ⇒き³.

2 〔思わず〕 in spite of oneself; involuntarily; 〔なんとなく〕 somehow (or other).

●そぞろ涙を催した. I was moved to tears in spite of myself. | I don't know why I felt so sad, but I couldn't refrain from weeping.

・それを見てそぞろに悲しくなった. As I gazed at it, a sad feeling stole upon me.
